Our Story
From a family kitchen in North Essex to a growing world of flavour.
We're Lainey and Steph — long-time friends and lifelong food lovers. It all began when Steph returned from Amsterdam to Raylands House, her family home in North Essex. We bonded over fine dining, travel and a shared belief that food should always be exceptional, and in October 2023 we began trading from the kitchen at Raylands House, offering everything from lunch clubs and cooking lessons to private catering and farmers markets.
A turning point came when luxury home store Neptune invited us to cater an exclusive client event. Our tapioca crisp and fresh herb dip became the star of the evening, sparking repeated requests from guests wanting to buy it. That moment made it clear we had created something special — and worth pursuing.
Where We Are Now
A turning point came when luxury home store Neptune invited us to cater an exclusive client event. Our tapioca crisps and fresh herb dip were the standout of the evening, sparking repeated requests from guests wanting to buy them. That moment made it clear we had created something special — and worth pursuing.
Where We're Going
We're now entering an exciting new phase. We're partnering with specialist manufacturers to scale our Tapioca Crisps and Creamy Emulsion Dips for wider distribution, ensuring every product reflects the flavour, creativity and uncompromising standards that shaped our brand from day one. Our ambition is clear: to bring a new, elevated snacking experience to more people while staying true to the spirit of where it all began.

Elevated Everyday Eating
We believe everyday food can be extraordinary, and we aim to bring restaurant-level creativity into homes across the country.
Why These Ingredients Matter To Us
Every ingredient we use is chosen with intention. Fresh basil and spinach bring an aromatic, herbaceous lift and natural colour to our green emulsion, while roasted red peppers, tomato purée and fresh garlic create a dip that tastes slow-crafted and full of character. Our curried mango and mint dip celebrates contrast — sweet mango chutney, bright spring onion and cooling fresh mint, playful yet refined.
Our tapioca crisps begin with pearls made from the cassava root, offering purity, versatility and a naturally gluten-free foundation, fried in rapeseed oil for its heart-healthy, sustainably grown credentials and lower food miles.
Fresh, real and recognisable — these are the ingredients we're proud to put on the table.
Our Commitment To Sustainability
Sustainability is woven into the way we think, create and grow. We've chosen fully recyclable packaging from the start, and we prioritise suppliers who share our values — selecting ingredients with care, traceability and respect for the environment.
We support the principles of WRAP's Courtauld Commitment and the UK Plastics Pact, and as we move into manufacturing we'll work with partners who prioritise energy-efficient, environmentally conscious production. As we grow, we're working towards B Corp certification, using its principles as a framework for responsible, ethical practice.
Sustainability is a journey, not a destination — we're committed to learning and making better choices as our brand grows.
Where Tapioca Comes From
Our tapioca crisps begin with the cassava root — a resilient tropical plant harvested by hand across South America, Africa and Asia. Once processed into fine pearls, cassava starch transforms beautifully when cooked, creating the light, glass-like crunch that sets our crisps apart from anything you'll find in a standard potato crisp. It's a crop shaped by generations of food culture, now reimagined in a new, modern form.
